For years, I worked to help people communicate, learn, and participate more fully. I learned new approaches, found better tools, and kept looking for ways to make support more effective. But for years, I couldn't quite figure out what was missing.
Morgan helped me see the one element that is essential but often gets overlooked: connection.
Communication isn't only about having words or knowing how to use a system. It is about having something you want to share and knowing there is someone on the other side who wants to hear it. That realization changed the way I understood AAC, language learning, learning in general, and my own work.
Engaging AAC grew from there.
